Our Commitment to Accuracy, Independence & Verified Data
Fact-Checking & Primary Regulatory Sources
Every article and calculator is reviewed against primary regulatory publications, including the SBP Quarterly Monetary Policy Statements, SBP PR-CF Circulars, and bank-specific Schedules of Bank Charges (SOBC).
Editorial Independence & Conflict of Interest Policy
We maintain absolute editorial independence. We do not receive editorial compensation to bias rate rankings or favor specific loan products.
How We Decide What to Cover
New calculators and guides are prioritized based on real gaps we see in publicly available loan information — a product tier that changed (like a revised PMYBALS cap), a regulation that isn't clearly explained anywhere else in plain language, or a comparison readers repeatedly ask about (HBL versus Meezan, HBFC, or Alfalah, for instance). We don't publish content simply because a topic is popular in search if we can't back it with a verifiable regulatory or bank source.
Author Qualification Standards
Every calculator and guide is attributed to a named reviewer with disclosed financial credentials — see our author profile — rather than published anonymously. We do not accept guest contributions from unverified authors on financial calculation pages.
Correction & Update Policy
When SBP revises a Prudential Regulation, HBL updates a fee schedule, or we identify a calculation error, the affected page is corrected and its "audited" date is updated the same day the change is verified against a primary source. We do not silently alter figures without updating that date — if a number on this site materially changed, the disclaimer footer will show when.
What We Don't Do
We don't publish "guaranteed approval" claims — no calculator can promise a bank's decision. We don't accept payment to feature a specific loan tier more favorably than a competing one, and we don't use AI to generate financial figures without a human reviewer checking them against a primary regulatory or bank source first.
